Well, I'm back to 7.10 again now, with the exception that it's pretty much a fresh install, and it's a lot shinier than it was (last time, I upgraded from 7.04 to 7.10, which borked some of the features). I'll be spending a few days in shiny-land, before dropping back to flatland, I expect.
At least I have a working desktop again!
